Who we are
Persivoc (geofinance.co and the Persivoc Android app) is operated by Parth Chawan, Rohan Patil, and Anush Chordia, jointly, from India. Contact: contact@persivoc.com.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google: your name, email address, profile photo and Google account identifier. Google sign-in is the only way to create an account.
What you add to your profile: username, display name, photo, headline, bio, location, education, website, LinkedIn link, area of expertise, interests, your onboarding answers (what you do, for example student or investor, your organisation and your industry), and your privacy and contact-visibility choices.
What you post: discussions, replies, Highlights (shown on Home for a limited time), comments, @mentions, photos and reports. Photos you attach to discussions, replies or Highlights are re-encoded on our servers, which removes embedded metadata such as GPS location and camera details; the app also re-encodes your profile photo on your device before uploading it.
Direct messages: stored so we can deliver them. A message you delete is kept for 30 days only so reports can be reviewed for safety, then purged.
Your activity: follows, follow requests, blocks, likes, bookmarks, the topics and keywords you follow, your recent searches, Guild memberships and waitlists, Highlight and video views, your company watchlist, your notification settings and your notifications.
Specialist applications: the evidence links and descriptions you submit when you apply for the Specialist tick, and our review decisions.
Usage analytics: pages viewed, searches, the referring page, a random identifier stored in your browser, device type, browser family, and the country derived from your IP address. These statistics are not linked to your account.
Security: your IP address and browser user agent appear in server logs and are used for rate limiting and to prevent abuse.
Cookies and browser storage
We use cookies only to keep you signed in. Your browser also stores Google sign-in's own session data, a random analytics identifier, your cookie choice, and drafts of posts you have not finished. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
How we use it
To run Persivoc: show your profile and posts, deliver messages and notifications, moderate content and prevent spam and abuse, review Specialist applications, and produce aggregate usage statistics.
AI
An AI provider (Groq) analyses public news articles to describe their possible impact on companies, and may be used to summarise public discussions. Direct messages and private-profile information are never sent to it.
Sharing
We do not sell your data and we show no advertising. Service providers process data on our behalf only to run the service: Google Firebase Authentication for sign-in, and our hosting provider. We disclose information when the law requires it.
Visibility
Public posts and public profiles can be seen by anyone. If you make your profile private, people you have not approved see only your name, photo, headline and Specialist tick. Discussions and replies in Community stay public either way.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account or at geofinance.co/delete-account. You are signed out on every device straight away and your profile disappears. Signing back in within 30 days and choosing Restore my account cancels the deletion.
After 30 days your personal data is erased: your name, username, email address, profile details, photos, follows, blocks, bookmarks, notifications, Specialist applications and our link to your Google account. Your posts remain, anonymised as written by "Deleted member", so conversations others joined still make sense. Messages you sent stay in the other person's conversation, shown as from "Deleted member", and likes and votes stay as anonymous counts. Moderation and audit records (reports, moderation decisions and administrative logs) are kept.
- If your account was suspended for breaking our Community Guidelines, we keep our link to your Google account (your Google sign-in ID), only so that it can't be used to rejoin Persivoc.
- Photos in posts that are under review, or that moderators removed, are deleted 30 days later.
- Short excerpts of posts our spam protection refused are kept until they expire, 90 days after the attempt.
Deletion completes 30 days after the request (plus up to 24 hours). You can also delete your replies, comments, Highlights, messages, bookmarks, follows, keywords and recent searches one by one without deleting your account.
Security
Persivoc is served over HTTPS only, and access to personal data is restricted to the people who run the service.
Children
Persivoc is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger; if you believe a child is using Persivoc, contact contact@persivoc.com and we will remove the account.

We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date above.
